Henry's Maple is a beautiful little-known tree from China rarely exceeding 20 ft. in height. Long chains of winged seeds give this plant an air of elegance during the summer months. Henry's Maple is also rather rare in cultivation. Its leaves emerge bronze, are dark green in summer, and show brilliant red with yellow in fall. Leaves have three leaflets, to 4 inches, with pointed tips. Henry's Maple has green flowers in pendent clusters appearing before the leaves. It is interesting year round. It is lovely in front of an evergreen background, in a lawn, or used as a specimen or sheltering a low, mixed planting of shade-lovers. USDA zones 5-9
