Brandywine has emerald green leaves in summer and early bright long lasting fall color that begins as a beautiful red that gradually turns a brilliant purple red that persists far longer than most red maples. This is a seedless variety with great proven performance. Mature trees develop into an oval rounded form up to 40′ high with a 30′ span. It makes an excellent lawn or street tree. USDA zones 4-9

Dawn redwood prefers a wetter environment to grow, and it needs full sun to grow its best when it is a larger tree. We start these as 'understory' trees and they love the high open canopy above them giving the good indirect light. It does best in moist to wet soils, so it can be a good choice for large rain garden locations. As with all trees a good organic planting location would be ideal for these trees.
