Prunus x okame, ‘Okame Cherry’


Okame Cherry is an absolutely gorgeous dark pink early flowering tree in late March to early April that truly welcomes spring!  It is smaller deciduous flowering tree with an upright, rounded crown. It blooms earlier than other cherries with blossoms lasting up to 3 weeks, grows up to 18 ft. tall and 15 ft. wide.  This special tree offers an early and very warm welcome to spring, and is a gorgeous and highly desirable tree for any landscape, including as a city street tree. USDA zones 5-9  Highly recommended! It is a very comforting, fragrant and well-earned welcome to spring, especially after the cold winter weather.
