Privet has a generally narrow profile and is perfect next to a driveway or roan frontage. You see it a lot on the Philadelphia Main Line and other traditional areas. It is a low maintenance hedge that although deciduous and losing its leaves in the winter, the branch framework still provides considerable screening throughout the winter months.

Cherokee Brave is an outstanding deep pink flowering Dogwood with great beauty and strong disease resistance. It is a hardy and proven performer among dogwoods. These trees bloom in April, and are one of the earliest bloomers. It is one of the deepest and most striking pink dogwoods available. It is highly recommended!
Privacy Trees
The Magnolia virginiana, Australis is an outstanding and beautiful tree with many great qualities. The Magnolia virginiana, Australis is an evergreen tree that retains most of its green leaves throughout the winter. It produces fragrant white flowers from May through August, and is a wildlife tree producing seeds that birds devour when ripe. The Australis is fast growing and grows well in either sun or shade. It is rare to find so many great qualities in just one tree. The Australis has a tendency to form multi-trunks like the straight species. We grow them as tree form, but they will grow additional trunks to add more width and screening to the tree over time.
Small Trees
Acer buergerianum 'Trident Maple' is a fascinating smaller maple known for its multi-colored leaves. It holds on to its leaves until November/ December and puts on a brilliant fall display of color. Although it is a smaller and very hardy tree, it has a nice dense canopy of leaves that provide some privacy aspects especially since the leaves are retained through November & December.
Flowering Trees
Royal Star Magnolia is an exceptional early flowering tree with larger and more showy flowers than the straight species, and they are also fragrant. The Royal Star Magnolia is considered the best of the species, hence it royal name! Royal Star Magnolia is a highly sought after magnolia variety, and is a very welcome and inspiring sight in early spring. These are hard-to-find trees, and are truly a treasure for those fortunate enough to have them growing at their property.
Flowering Trees
Magnolia Betty is a gorgeous flowering smaller magnolia tree famous for being part of the Little Girl Magnolia series developed in the 1950's. It is similar to Jane and Ann and flowers in striking pink, white and purple in early/ mid spring. Betty puts on a spectacular display of color. It is hard-to-find and certainly a tree collectors dream! Betty has a amazing spring display of color rarely seen among trees. Highly recommended!
Small Trees
Prunus virginiana 'Canada Red' Chokeberry is a fast growing smaller native shade tree full of colorful red/ burgundy leaves, which is a great contrast to the many green leafed trees. The abundant small fruits are also red, and are a favorite of songbirds. It is a clean tree, and the fruits are retained on stem by the tree, and the birds eat the fruits while on the tree. Prunus virginiana Chokeberry is a brilliant and colorful performer. The Chokeberry tree is a wildlife tree attracting songbirds with its abundant small fruits. In addition, it is a pollinator tree, and will attract butterflies. This is a handsome small tree that contrasts and fits in nicely with other green foliage trees. You cannot go wrong with this tree, and it has many great attributes. Highly recommended!
