Magnolia denudata, “Yulan Magnolia” is a highly revered tree in Asia, and is treasured for its beautiful goblet shaped white flowers and striking red summer fruits. Because of its rarity and the limited supply, we limit ONE Yulan Magnolia specimen per order, please.
Magnolia denudata – The Yulan magnolia also known as Lily Tree is a highly prized and exquisite white flowering tree. It truly is an outstanding flowering tree that typically grows 20-30 feet tall with a rounded spreading crown as it matures. Yulan magnolia produces gorgeous and fragrant goblet-shaped white flowers that bloom in the early spring. Flowers bloom before the leaves emerge. Flowers give way to cone-like fruits that mature to a striking red color in late summer, releasing individual red coated seeds at maturity. This tree specimen has been highly-revered in China for its beauty for well over 1,000 years, and women have been known to make a highly prized skin cream from the soft fragrant petals. USDA zones 5-9 Limit: One Yulan specimen per customer.

It is a low maintenance hedge that although deciduous and losing its leaves in the winter, the branch framework still provides considerable screening throughout the winter months.

Prunus virginiana 'Canada Red' Chokeberry is a fast growing smaller native shade tree full of colorful red/ burgundy leaves, which is a great contrast to the many green leafed trees. Prunus virginiana Chokeberry is a brilliant and colorful performer. The Chokeberry tree is a wildlife tree attracting songbirds with its abundant small fruits. In addition, it is a pollinator tree, and will attract butterflies. This is a handsome small tree that contrasts and fits in nicely with other green foliage trees.
