Magnolia denudata, “Yulan Magnolia” is a highly revered tree in Asia, and is treasured for its beautiful goblet shaped white flowers and striking red summer fruits. Because of its rarity and the limited supply, we limit ONE Yulan Magnolia specimen per order, please.
Magnolia denudata – The Yulan magnolia also known as Lily Tree is a highly prized and exquisite white flowering tree. It truly is an outstanding flowering tree that typically grows 20-30 feet tall with a rounded spreading crown as it matures. Yulan magnolia produces gorgeous and fragrant goblet-shaped white flowers that bloom in the early spring. Flowers bloom before the leaves emerge. Flowers give way to cone-like fruits that mature to a striking red color in late summer, releasing individual red coated seeds at maturity. This tree specimen has been highly-revered in China for its beauty for well over 1,000 years, and women have been known to make a highly prized skin cream from the soft fragrant petals. USDA zones 5-9 Limit: One Yulan specimen per customer.

The Stewartia pseudocamellia, Japanese Stewartia is an absolutely beautiful specimen that flowers from June through early August, and has striking leaves, flowers, and bark. It is one of our favorite trees, and is highly sought after, and quite hard-to-find. This specimen will reward every one who sees it throughout the year. They grow best in mixed sun and shade, especially being shaded from the hot afternoon sun. It is truly an exquisite and colorful tree.This particular specimen is highly recommended! Magnolia Betty is a gorgeous flowering smaller magnolia tree famous for being part of the Little Girl Magnolia series developed in the 1950's. It is similar to Jane and Ann and flowers in striking pink, white and purple in early/ mid spring. Betty puts on a spectacular display of color. It is hard-to-find and certainly a tree collectors dream! Betty has a amazing spring display of color rarely seen among trees. Highly recommended!

Native Trees
Amelanchier grandiflora, 'Autumn Brilliance'is a great native specimen producing white spring flowers and awesome fall colors for its multi-season display. These grow to 15' - 20' and are taller than wide. We grow single trunk specimens, but do have some multi-trunk as well. The Amelanchier looks great as a solo tree, or as part of a multi-specimen design. These are a truly very nice tree/ shrub and are fascination to see up close throughout the seasons. Autumn Brilliance puts on one of the best fall color displays of all of the serviceberry trees. It is a beautiful native flowering tree, and the birds love the berries that display in May/ June. It is a hard-to-find tree, and is also valuable as a wildlife tree because it attracts songbirds. It is also called June Berry, and has become one of our favorites.
Columnar Trees
Slender Silhouette Sweetgum is an outstanding fast growing columnar tree that provides spectacular beauty and design to any upscale landscape. It can grow up to a 40' height with only a narrow 4' width up it's entire height! These trees should excite every landscape designer, and those with aerial views that they want to block. Slender Silhouette Sweetgum trees produce star-shaped dark green leaves in summer, turning yellow to deep red in fall. These are hard-to-find trees, grow fast, and make spectacular border trees in small numbers. They are effective privacy trees, and make a very impressive design statement. Highly recommended!
